My husband and I have been trying to conceive (TTC) about 7 years or so now. We had one pregnancy that ended in miscarriage and I found out I had fibroids.
April 2017 I had surgery to remove the fibroids. I had 18 of them! They said it was like an Easter basket full of eggs in my uterus and my stomach was so huge. (I looked 7-8 months pregnant)
We have still been trying.
So what is my fertility game plan? First is a mindset change! I have been really getting into my law of attraction studies and the power of the subconscious mindset. So on January 1st, I gave the universe a definite date or deadline of March 31 for me to be preggers! I am also doing my fertility affirmations.
I took a couple of months off of my keto diet when we were traveling in Thailand and Bali (I mean… who can resist all those noodles?) So today, January 29, I am restarting Keto, but this time, I am doing it dairy free and egg free. I absolutely love to put cheese on everything. Keto was easy for me last time, but i’m just going to have be a little more creative about it this go around with no eggs, butter, cream or cheese. But these foods all cause mucus and according to TCM and herbalists such as Dr. Sebi and Dr. Tim Morrow is the root off all disease. I watched this video of Dr. Tim Morrow and he says if you want to get pregnant get rid of the mucus:
I honestly believe that this our issue. I eat WAY TOO MUCH DAIRY! My nose is always running. I can feel mucus in the back of my throat etc… So Im sure that its stuck in my uterus. I need his swimmers to be able to get to the egg via the path of least resistance? lol…. I don’t know if that even makes sense. ha ha ha
So get to the mucus out, I am eliminating the majority of mucus causing foods – mainly dairy, gluten & sugar. Theoretically, I should probably be like vegan or vegetarian or something… but I need meat in my life, etc.
I am also going to be taking mucus relieving pills and mucus relieving tea. In addition, I will also be taking fertility tea and my prenatal vitamin. My vitamins do have a tad bit of brown rice and oats in them which are not keto-approved… but I figure that they are in such small portions that they wont throw me out of ketosis.
Hubby is currently on these fertility pills along with lycopene, pycnogenol and ashwagandha. When he had his sperm analysis conducted, it indicated that he was a little low on sperm motility and morphology. His count was great and they are rapid movers. I researched alot of different sites to figure out how to get his motility and morphology improved.
To improve sperm motility they recommend:
- 2g/day of L-Carnitine + Vitamin E (supposedly increases sperm motility by 59%)
- 3g/day of L-Carnitine (increases sperm motility by 40%)
- Vitamin D
- 200 mg Selenium + 400 IU Vitamin E
- 4 mg/day lycopene (increases sperm motility by 25% in 3 months)
- 2000 mg/day Vitamin C (39% motility increase in 2 months)
The men’s fertility aid pills that he is taking has all of these (except Lycopene), so I will reorder those as he is currently out of Lycopene.
To improve sperm morphology they recommend:
- Vitamin D
- 200 mg/day pycnogenol (increases sperm morphology by 38% in 3 months)
- 2000 mg/day Vitamin C – (Improves sperm morphology by 114% in 60 days)
- 200 mg/day selenium + 400 IU Vitamin E
Again, these pills have all of this except the pycnogenol. So these are the supplements that hubby takes to make sure his swimmers are the cream of the crop!
And to top it all off.. we will be baby dancing! lol. Have you considered going mucus-free? lol. That sounds so… so yea… let me know in the comments.
